There are no news as far as I am concerned.
Is this planned? Well, it is not not planned, but as far as I am aware nobody in the team has a Raspberry Pi 5.
Our kernel should have everything enabled that is available inside the kernel, but last time I checked, kernel support for the RPi 5 was very incomplete.
