Pakfire GUI shows error after update, but log shows none

I updated from CU 194 to CU 195 today. At the end of the update process, the pakfire GUI reported that an error had occurred. However, everything looks normal in the pakfire log, with no indication of warnings or errors. CU 195 is also correctly displayed in the GUI footer. Could this be a minor bug in the pakfire GUI?

When the message says that an error was encountered then somewhere in the log below there will be an error message.

In the early days after a release first occurs then an error can be found because a mirror that is selected for the download has not yet been fully synchronised but pakfire will then move to try another mirror and that could then be successful.

Your error is unlikely to be due to an unsynchronised mirror but it could also have just been a difficulty to get a response from a mirror if it maybe was not available at that time and pakfire moved to another mirror.

I just checked the log file; I missed the small hint in the GUI that a 500 came from “mirror.datacenter.by” - sorry.

No problems, I have sometimes had to look through the logs a couple of times to find where the error message was.
Sometimes I have resorted to using the browser page search function if the log has been quite long.

Glad it was just a simple mirror availability error and your update was fine.
