Newbie to network RPI 5

I Am brand new to networking I went to Micro Center and bought a RPI 5 and decided that this would probably be a good firewall to set up for my home considering I want to still use my own router which is a Orbi mesh Netgear type deal. I formatted the sd card to fat32 using rufus and downloaded the ISO file and flashed it to my SD card which is 128 GB. But whenever I try to boot the pie with the SD card it says something like edit config.txt checksum=0 to skip this at bootup…and then it proceeds to keep trying to boot until i power it off. But when I try to click on the file I cannot find a program that will actually load the image file to edit the text that it’s talking about. I see a img and img.xv or something like that. Somebody please help.

Hallo @flargo64

Welcome to the IPFire community.

Unfortunately uboot which is used to boot the arm systems does not yet work with RPi5 out of the box.

See the following post.

The wiki page shows the arm products that have been able to have IPFire successfully installed.
