IPFire Italia is coming to RomHack!

The time has come! As previously announced, IPFire Italia will be attending RomHack this year—one of Italy’s most exciting events for those who live and breathe cybersecurity, networking, Linux, open source, and technology.

Three days of meetings, talks, people, technology, and—above all—community.
RomHack isn’t your typical event where you just listen to lectures and then head straight home.
The format chosen for this year—hosted at Flaminio Village—places a strong emphasis on conviviality and the chance to socialize, get to know one another, and keep the conversation about technology going even outside the conference hall.
The campsite setting not only makes the event more accessible but also creates a much more informal atmosphere: people meet, exchange ideas, and spark spontaneous discussions—and often, it’s in these moments that the most interesting conversations happen.
And, of course, we’ll be there too!
Our team member Fabio Carletti will give a talk lasting about 40 minutes, focusing on IPFire.
We’ll discuss network security and some of the tools IPFire offers to protect and manage a network:
:locked_with_key: Firewall
:police_car_light: IPS – Intrusion Prevention System

The goal is to go beyond the simple statement “IPFire is a firewall” and show what we can actually achieve with IPFire regarding security, using examples, scenarios, and practical insights.
And naturally… we won’t be alone!
The RomHack agenda is packed with talks and sessions covering cybersecurity, networking, research, offensive and defensive security, privacy, and many other topics.
There will be speakers and professionals from all over the world—some attending in person and others joining remotely.
In short, there’s something for everyone.
See you at RomHack?
Whether you’re already an IPFire user, thinking about trying it out, curious about what it can do, or simply want to chat about firewalls, security, networking, and open source—come say hello! It will be a great opportunity to finally meet in person, share experiences, gather ideas, and perhaps discover some new uses for IPFire together.
And let’s face it… talking about cybersecurity over a beer is always more fun.
