[I18n] Request to add Lao (lo) language to Weblate

Hello IPFire Team,

I am writing to request the activation of the Lao (lo) language across all IPFire projects on translate.ipfire.org. I have already created an account (Username: boneni) but am unable to add the Lao language manually.

I am a highly active contributor to the Lao localization community with a proven track record of high-volume and high-quality work. My recent achievements include:

  1. Linux Mint: Achieved 100% completion for Lao translation on Launchpad (https://launchpad.net/~boneni2025, Lao (lo) : Series latest : Translations : Linux Mint).
  2. Mozilla Firefox: Contributed over 2,000 translations within 24 hours (Level 4 contributor).
  3. GNOME: I am the current coordinator for the Lao translation team.
  4. WordPress: Reached 100% completion for the Lao locale.

I am eager to bring IPFire to the Lao community and ensure the translation is professional and complete. Could you please enable the Lao (lo) language for me to begin the work?

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,

Hello Bone,

thank you very much for helping translating IPFire! It would be great to make it more accessible to people all over the world speaking so many different languages.

I have created the language on our Weblate instance and enabled it for various projects:

Please let me know how you are getting on with this and if you need anything else.

Hi Michael,

I have just finished translating all the strings for the Lao (lo) language! You can check the progress here: Lao @ IPFire Translate. Everything is now 100% complete.

I’m looking forward to seeing Lao as an official language option in the upcoming IPFire releases. Thank you for this opportunity!
