I’m not able to start my access point. When I try to start hostapd manually, I get these output:
Starting hostapd…
blue0: interface state UNINITIALIZED->COUNTRY_UPDATE
Could not determine operating frequency
blue0: interface state COUNTRY_UPDATE->DISABLED
blue0: AP-DISABLED
blue0: Unable to setup interface.
blue0: interface state DISABLED->DISABLED
blue0: AP-DISABLED
blue0: CTRL-EVENT-TERMINATING
hostapd_free_hapd_data: Interface blue0 wasn’t started
nl80211: deinit ifname=blue0 disabled_11b_rates=0 [ FAIL ]
My WLAN adapter is a Qualcomm Atheros QCA 986x/988x.
What does that tell me?
Thanks in advance.

Check that you have configured your country and press save to get an update channel list in the dropdown. After this choose a mode that is supoorted by the hardware and also a matching channel. If you configure 5Ghz mode but a 2.4Ghz channel you also get such errors.

The country code was set correctly, but the 802.11ac mode does not work. With 802.11gn it is working well.
Thank you.

Did you maybe select a channel that isn’t allowed to be used in your country?
