Hacked. Can´t access WUI

DNS is not working. And without admin&password that area can not be examined.

Without DNS server you cannot connect to the update servers.
How do you get the WebGUI pages, if the admin password doesn’t work?
BTW: the admin password can be set from a shell ( user root, root password ) via setup.

WebGUI accessed via ipfire.444 utilizes admin/password in keychain, it is same as before the new install. The Question is how to repair the error that keeps the DNS from connecting?
After entering setup/root - what is the command to change the admin password?

you need to fill this out.
Add a DNS server. like 8.8.8.8 google

No. Tried with and without enambling ISP

8.8.8.8 should work.
If you point to the status ‘broken’ you should get an explanation.

EDIT: I just tried. 8.8.8.8 works, even with UDP.

If you have to you can try use isp servers for DNS.

Backup 30 days past but usable. It was DNS and Green works. But Blue Wifi does not work.

What is your “End address”.
green should be something like 192.168.2.150
Blue should be something like 192.168.5.150
Assuming net mask 255.255.255.0

never setup “wifi” card so can’t help there.
you may need to install a plugin package “hostapd”
and setup that for your wifi to work.

Wifi is set up normal, using the Backup. The DNS is buggy. Prior attachment shows it is Green. It doesnt connect to the VPN server ion Greece. Just using DNS LightningWireLabs for a Test.

The RED lights are on all the time. I dont think that is right.

Can you see the mistakes?

That correction squared the Wifi however still buggy. Note the IP address. Time updates. But no connection to the internet.

Learning to handle stress is difficult. Sorry to discover a childish principal. Closely consier the Blue Screen: is that commerical quality?.
The Rule is make it simple.

Strange it doesnt work with the Backup. The backup was working. And the password on the setup page isnt working. Thought the group would like to solve the problem.

Could you please describe your configuration ( networks, IPFire, system your backup was produced, … ) in more details. Maybe we can help or point you to the errors.

BTW: What you presented in your screenshot isn’t a ‘Blue Screen’ ( usually the Windows OS crash message ) but the install menue.
The double letter problem is known. It appears in the first screen of an installation on an APU. Just search the forum or Bugzilla for explanation.

IPfire back on line. Renstalled 169. Rebuilt part of the firewall.
Still to test admin password and hardening FW.

Is Firmware Update 20210107-1 available via PakFire?
Is PcEngine Firmware4.16 available via PakFire?

Firmware Update 20210107-2 is available. There was never a version 20210107-1, The previous version was for 20190329-1

In Core Update 169 the version is 4.16.0.3-11

Good to hear your IPFire works again,.

I was wondering what is the pcengines-apu-firmware actually used for and what are the differences between 4.16 and 4.17.
I apologize if this is a dumb question
