Hi,
After I upgraded my IPFire to CORE 195, it seems the WIO (Who Is Online) plugin stopped working on my firewall.
It only displays the first line with the “RED” interface. Nothing else. There is no way to access the configuration options from the “WIO web page” anymore.
I rebooted the IPFire, but the result is the same.
I do not know if this is my “WIO config” that is corrupt in some way or if the plugin misbehaves with the new core upgrade.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem ?
Mine is working without any problem with CU195. It is showing all 17 clients that I have it monitoring.
Maybe try doing a restore from your backup from CU194 and see if that solves it.
As the WUI page is only displaying some of the WIO page then it is also worth looking in the
/var/log/httpd/error_log
file at the end and see if there are any error messages for wio.cgi
Hi Adolf,
Thanks for your help.
I forgot to mention I already tried restoring my backup from Core 194. Unfortunately, it did not help.
I had a look in “/var/log/httpd/error_log” and there is something:
“Undefined subroutine &General::GetDyndnsRedIP called at /srv/web/ipfire/cgi-bin/wio.cgi line 1166.”
And that made me look into my “Dynamic DNS subscriptions”.
And, in there, I noticed there is a “dead config” (old config that probably no longer works).
I deleted it and “WIO” works again.
The problem may also come from the fact that there were 2 lines in the Dynamic DNS page, I don’t know.
Thanks again for your help. The link between “WIO” and Dynamic DNS was not obvious to me.
Best Regards,
Yves
I’ve not seen this issue either, although I don’t use DDNS.
Actually, I’ve found WIO works quite well to track WireGuard connections with.
Thanks,
A G
Glad the problem was found quickly and easily.
