Hi all, after updating one of my IPFire systems from 201 to 203 a couple of days ago, I notices issues with being able to reach certain web sites from the clients connected to IPFire:

several domains, even prominent ones like auth.openai.com were no longer reachable

several domains, although supposed to be blocked, were reachable
After reading a couple of articles here, I then successively did the following:
- Ensure IPFire web proxy is off
- Ensure no additional DNS servers than the ISP’s one were active
But no success.
Im an not 100% sure, but one or more of the following steps might have finally solved the issue on my side - in Web UI → Firewall → DNS Firewall → Lists:
- Web UI → Firewall → DNS Firewall → Lists: activate/check all, save, deactivate/uncheck all, save, activate/check wanted lists, save
- Web UI → Firewall → DNS Firewall → Custom Block And Allow List: Create a dummy entry in both “blocked domains” and “allowed domains”, save, then delete again the dummy entries, save
