DHCP Server /24 only?

Hi all,

Is there any way to run a DHCP subnet that’s higher than /24? Running a blue network for wifi and currently sees around 150-200 concurrent clients. Thinking about adding more waps but is held back by the /24 mask.

Is there a work in progress or have I hit a brick wall?

Thanks
Philip

Complementing what Shaun wrote:
Remember to ensure that the extended subnetwork range does not overlap with the subnetwork ranges of the other interfaces.

edit
e.g.
the range 192.168.0.0/16 overlaps 192.168.1.0/24

Thanks for the reply

Just want to clarify - does that mean it can only be changed by rerun the setup (like reinstall from scratch and perform the initial setup again?)

No, just at the command line, your IPFire type setup.

then go to Networking

next Address settings

next Networking

next e.g. Blue
obraz

next change the Network mask:

e.g.
obraz

then OKDoneDone etc.

For more reliable operation, a reboot can be done.
