Core Update 182 - where is port 25 blocked?

The thought maybe not to waste resources on WUI modification.
So is it worth the investment?
Much rather see IPFire 3.0 rc.

It is part of the Firewall Rules! And it can be easily disabled!

I can hear some of you saying:

Wow! This was really well thought out! Nicely done!

So it has been put into the normal WUI firewall rules section by default. That makes it very easy to deal with or to add in if desired. :+1:

Also means it can be easily changed to only block for green and blue but leave open for orange

I have manually added that rule into my existing installation.

Hi all, I would like to add my experience with this port 25 issue. Altough the explicit rule for blocking port 25 was not in my installation of IPFire, I had to explicitly add a rule to allow port 25 in to my network in order to receive incoming mail, as I have my own mailserver. I am not sure if this information is in any way relevant to this discussion and will contribute any assistance, so feel free to delete this post if not. Just thought I would mention this.

Incoming connections must always be allowed via a rule. Otherwise the connection will be rejected. This is the sense and purpose of a firewall. This topic here was about the fact that outgoing connections to port 25 are generally blocked.

I fully understand, sir. Perhaps I just misunderstood the whole topic, in which case my apologies.
