Core 138 intel bugs?

Core 138 has been released to fix bugs in Intel CPU microcode.
Do these bugs exist in AMD CPU as well ?
Is core 138 needed for AMD PC’s ?

No, as far as we know, only Intel processors are vulnerable.

Intel has released microcode fixes for MDS, is it possible to update with IPFire?

We have shipped an updated version of the microcodes with Core Update 138.

Those were the latest version of time of release.

Intel has released more and it as far as I know unknown what the changes are in them. We will ship them and additionally microcode updates from AMD with the next release.

Hello Michael,

Hh, ok. I have installed 138 and I just wonder why it still says:

Fallout/ZombieLoad/RIDL (CVE-2018-12126, CVE-2018-12130, CVE-2018-12127, CVE-2019-11091) Vulnerable - Clear CPU buffers attempted, no microcode; SMT disabled

in System -> Processor Vulnerability Mitigations.

Please post your cpu type. Looks like there is no microcode that fix the issue for your cpu. Intel has not released it for all cpu models.

Intel® Core™ i3 CPU 550 @ 3.20GHz. Should be this one.

Intel has not released Microcode updates for cpus older than i3/i5/i7 2xxx

Ok, thanks.
