Copying DHCP table from older core to latest

I’m building a new box and want a fresh install of the latest, stable core, but I’d like to copy the DHCP table from an older version. Is there a safe/preferred way to do this?

Open up the .ipfire backup from the older version, it is just a tar archive, and copy the files you want to use over to the new system.

The dhcp entries will be in the backup under var/ipfire/dhcp/ and should be copied over to the new system in the same directory. Make sure that you end up with the correct permissions and ownerships after you have copied them over manually.

Sounds pretty standard. Thanks for the help.

Worked for me. Thanks again.
