ClamAV not running after Core-Update 198 --> 199

Correct.

The reversion patch has been merged. It is now going through the build process which will take a few hours. Then it will have the files placed in the correct location, which shouldn’t take too long.

I will say in this thread when the build has completed and the files located to be available.

At that point the old clamav version but with a new PAK_VER number will be shown in the updates available list if you already have it installed.

I must commend this forum and its developers repeatedly. Here, you receive prompt and courteous assistance, making it enjoyable to use iPfire.

Thank you to them for their responsiveness :waving_hand:

These incidents also highlight the lack of testers during the testing phase, particularly for add-ons.

Me too

I admit to feel some guilt for not being involved in the testing. I have three production systems but no testing environment. I used to be exclusively IT with an office and lab, but many years ago I took on a 2nd full-time position at my company, so I barely have enough time each day between managing IT and Quality Control.

The build has successfully completed. Now the reverted clamav (clamav-1.4.3-80) needs to be circulated to the mirrors.

I would expect that it should be visible tomorrow (Saturday 10th Jan).

The syncing is underway on the mirrors. If you press the Refresh List button on the Pakfire WUI page then you might already find the clamav-1.4.3-80 entry there. If not then you just need to wait a bit longer for the mirror that is being used currently on your system to get updated.
I would expect that within the next hour all mirrors should get the update.
