After the Core 203 update, DNS stopped working over OpenVPN. It does not resolve names at all, not in the local network nor any global domain. I can ping any IP over OpenVPN though. Any advice how to resolve this?

Ping working but no name resolution points squarely at DNS not being pushed or reached over the tunnel, not a routing issue. Core 203 may have changed how DNS is handed to OpenVPN clients. Check whether the server is still pushing a DNS option and that the firewall isn’t blocking port 53 to your resolver over the tunnel. Worth comparing your configs pre and post update to spot what shifted.

In that bug report it has a link to the bug report we have made upstream to the knot developers.
Unfortunately we haven’t had any response back yet to the Proof of Concept patch that was provided. Therefore we will be looking at putting in place a workaround until the permanent fix in knot can be achieved.
