2.25 Core 141 Testing

Hello everyone

I’ve been testing version 141 for several days and it goes perfectly. The only thing I don’t understand is how “Enable Safe Search” works. I have read everything that Michael Tremer has published on the Blog and I don’t understand how it works.

I know that Safe Search on Google filters explicit content, but I don’t see the IPFire system doing anything.

As the saying goes “better a picture than a thousand words”, is there an example or test which can be done ?.

Thanks so much and good night.

is there an iso for core 141 I can d/l (and test on a VM) or do I have to build it from git with make.sh ?

Hi pavlos,
in here --> https://wiki.ipfire.org/configuration/ipfire/pakfire/testing you can find some info´s causing this topic.

Best,

Erik

Thanks Erik.
I was hoping to find an iso I can install on a VM and test.
I d/l the master from git, cd ipfire-2.x-master, then “sudo ./make.sh build” but it fails on gcc.

Hi, Pavlos,

you can install a vm with Core 139 an than changing to testing in this like wiki.

ok, I’ll do that, thanks.

Hi pavlos,

May you are interested in the nightly builds then → wiki.ipfire.org - IPFire 2.x - Nightly Builds ?

Did you also download the toolchains ?

./make.sh gettoolchain

Best,

Erik

EDIT: → https://nightly.ipfire.org/next/latest/x86_64/packages/clamav-0.102.2-49.ipfire

Best,

Erik

I had to replace my router (old: apu2e4, new: apu4d4) and installed the new one with core 141 (iso from nightly.ipfire.org). No issues after installation and restore of the old settings (running > 24h).
Addons: imgpproxy

Best,
